About the Teacher

Hi! My name is Kim Fogarty. This is my third year teaching at Miller. I previously taught 4th grade and K-3 English as a Second Language. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from Bryant University. I then went on to complete my Masters in Teaching.  I had a great experience completing my student teaching in the Boston Public School system. I am certified in Elementary Education 1-6, English as a Second Language PreK-8, and Moderate Disabilities PreK-8. I consider myself a lifelong learner and it is my goal to instill a love for learning in all my students.

Outside of school I enjoy spending time at my family’s home on the Cape. In the summer you can find me on the beach or sailing. Within the past year I have discovered a love for yoga! I recently got married, so you might hear me be referred to as Ms. Franklin at times. I am a resident of Franklin.

My mission for the class is to create a safe learning environment where students feel comfortable taking academic risks. It is my belief when students feel comfortable in their learning environment the more they grow as learners.
